WE BELIEVE...

Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), exists to proclaim God’s Word to ourselves, our community, and our world.

We are here to give you the PEACE the world cannot give by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with you. 

We are Evangelical in that we share the Evangel- the good news - the promise that in Jesus every single sin has been fully paid for by his sacrifice on our behalf at the cross. Our assurance of this is his resurrection, which points ahead to our own resurrection. 

We are Lutheran. What does it mean to be 'Lutheran'. We tend to summarize what this means by several 'alone' statements.

We are committed to the core beliefs that our hope of salvation is found in SCRIPTURE ALONE. 
These gifts of peace, forgiveness and life eternal are extended to us by GRACE ALONE.
These gifts are received through FAITH ALONE and not by our work or effort. 
Rather, everything has been done for us by CHRIST ALONE.
Therefore all glory be to GOD ALONE.

Finally we are a Church, a gathering of like-minded believers who hold to a common confession of Christ, to work together in this shared ministry.
